Client Videos: Mission Celebration

Client Web Videos for United Methodist Church

Duvall Media was hired by the United Methodist Church – Danville District to help promote their district-wide mission awareness event to nearly 11,000 congregation members.

We built their website, their social media profiles, Facebook Fanpage and produced a series of short web video interviews with members who had experience in mission work. We were lucky to get professional actress Sara Elizabeth Timmins to be our on-camera talent and interviewer. She made production so much easier and better.

We even produced a series of tutorial videos so members of the congregation could learn how to easily share their story and promote Mission Celebration with others.

Reed Dillon secured sponsors for the event including media sponsor Spirit FM and food sponsor Chick-fil-a. The event was three days in May starting with a banquet and keynote address. On Saturday the event focused on mission awareness with the community, family activities and concluded with a concert by the very popular Christian rock group Mercy Me at Carrington Pavilion in Danville. On Sunday, the three day event wrapped up with stories of inspiration from experienced mission workers at church services throughout the district.

Here are some of the videos we produced for the Mission Celebration project.

Client Videos: Wine Gourmet

Client Web Videos for Kimberly Eakin

Kimberly Eakin in a real dynamo. She’s a mom to several young children, a wife to her adoring husband, she owns a thriving wine and beer retail store, and she’s in the U.S. Army Reserves.

She’s VERY busy but manages to balance active life. She hired Duvall Media to help her sell her wine and beer retail store in Roanoke, Virginia. Our strategy was to build her a website devoted to promoting the business for sale. We spent several hours shooting video where she describes the benefits of owning this business, the reason she is selling, the financials behind the operation and the potential for future growth and profits.

Then we syndicated the videos to drive traffic back to this new website WineStoreForSale.com.

Since we launched the website and  started syndicating videos, she has gathered more than 70 opt-ins from people requesting the full disclosure pack and confidentiality agreement.

Client Videos: Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce

The Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce hired Duvall Media to shoot a series of short interviews with local business leaders for their upcoming Economic Summit.

They showed the videos between guest speakers and presentations. We shot the videos on location at each of the local businesses and asked the same five questions. The questions were:

  1. Why did you start your own business?
  2. What challenges did you have to overcome?
  3. Why did you choose to locate your business in the Roanoke Valley?
  4. What advice do you have for other entrepreneurs considering starting a business?
  5. How do you feel about the local business climate and the future here in the region?

Here are the interviews:

Client Web Videos for Mickey Johnson

Mickey Johnson of Fox 21 / 27 in Roanoke, Virginia had been shooting short testimonial videos with his Flip video camera and then posting them on his Mick’s Pick blog. These short videos had generated a great deal of interest from the local business community and they were asking him to shoot more and to increase the production value. He had been doing this for free simply as a way to build goodwill with his prospects but now they were offering to pay him for the video.

So, Mickey asked me what it would take to do professional video production for some businesses around Smith Mountain Lake. I told him what kind of equipment he would need, the current costs of the equipment and the time involved. It was going to cost more than he was ready to spend. That’s when I suggested that we team up as a joint venture project. He does the selling and Duvall Media does the video production, syndication, website and online marketing since we already had the equipment and the experience.

We developed the concept of a community video guide of Smith Mountain Lake. It’s like a tourism magazine but online and with video instead of just static pictures, articles and ads. The video gives the site visitor the opportunity to see and hear details about local restaurants, shops, real estate, tourist attractions and much more.

Here are some of the web videos we have produced so far with more on the way.
