  • Hired to fill a newly created position and update brand strategy: interviewed corporate officers, competitors, and past clients to identify critical areas needing attention for this architectural and construction firm specializing in custom residential and commercial projects.
  • Conducted market research on sales, population trends, and market demographics.
  • Revamped website, and produced a television commercial on a shoestring budget, saving approximately $15,000 in production fees.
  • Developed a detailed media plan, and managed placement of advertisements in local, regional, and national publications, as well as on regional radio and television.
  • Conceived and supervised the creation of corporate advertising collateral for direct mail, print, digital, broadcast, and outdoor media campaigns.

  • Managed all facets of marketing, advertising, and public relations as a department head overseeing a 16 state region for this top-50 $80 million residential & commercial building systems manufacturer.
  • Helped grow annual revenue from $38 million to $80 million over a 9-year period.
  • Wrote and edited all company sales and marketing communications, including newsletters, builder bulletins, and media releases.
  • Coordinated large company sponsored promotional events and public relations activities for the opening of new model homes, manufacturing facilities, trade shows, and open houses.
  • Served as company spokesperson and industry expert: quoted in numerous major trade and consumer publications.
  • Set up and maintained a comprehensive database for new product introduction and direct mail campaigns.
  • Contributed as an integral team member to develop the International Builder Show model home in the Reed Business Information Show Village.
  • Spearheaded the design and construction of an onsite 5,000 square foot Design Studio center to showcase homes and floor plans, along with standard and optional features.
  • Developed online builder/employee merchandising program to sell imprinted specialty advertising and promotional products.
  • Led Awareness Committee and fostered Quality Hero program; chaired Design Committee; and served on numerous other committees.

  • Worked closely with vendors to create company- and product-specific POS marketing materials for a network of authorized builders.
  • Wrote all advertising copy and oversaw the distribution of POS marketing tools and materials to authorized builder network.
  • Created media plan and negotiated all media buys in local, regional, and national publications; supervised co-op advertising program.
